The Bible tells us about God in many ways. In the Old Testament, He is a powerful king who loves justice and mercy. In the New Testament, Jesus tells us that God is like a loving Father to us. He is also eternal, all-knowing, all-powerful, and the Creator of everything. The Bible also tells us that God is the source of all truth and the ultimate boss.

The Bible tells us that God made us special, because He made us in His image. He loves us and wants us to love Him too. To show how much He loves us, God sent His Son, Jesus, to save us from our sins. Jesus was perfect, and never did anything wrong. Even though He never sinned, Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins. He rose from the dead, which means that we can have eternal life with God if we believe in Him.
The death and resurrection of Jesus is an incredibly important part of the Bible and of our faith. According to the Torah, Jesus was sent as a sacrifice for our sins.
Leviticus 4
3 if the anointed priest sins so as to bring guilt on the people, then he is to offer to the Lord a bull without defect as a sin offering for his sin which he has committed. 4 He shall bring the bull to the doorway of the tent of meeting before the Lord, and he shall lay his hand on the head of the bull and slaughter the bull before the Lord.
This makes His death and resurrection even more significant, as it fulfilled God’s plan of redemption and made it possible for us to be saved.
Isaiah 53:5
But He was pierced for our offenses,
He was crushed for our wrongdoings;
The punishment for our well-being was laid upon Him,
And by His wounds we are healed.
Jesus’ death and resurrection also show us that nothing is impossible for God. Jesus showed us that even death cannot separate us from God’s love.
Romans 8
38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
By rising from the dead, Jesus proved that He is the Son of God and gave us hope for eternal life.
John 11
25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; the one who believes in Me will live, even if he dies, 26 and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?”
His death and resurrection remind us that God is powerful and that He is always in control.
Psalm 103:19
The Lord has established His throne in the heavens,
And His sovereignty rules over all.
The name of God in the Bible is YHWH, which is also known as the Tetragrammaton. This name appears over 6,800 times in the Old Testament, making it one of the most frequently used names in the Bible. YHWH is the name by which God revealed Himself to Moses, and it has come to represent His power, authority, and holiness. It is also used to remind us that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
The most common pronunciations of YHWH are Yahweh, Jehovah, and Yahveh. Yahweh is the oldest and most likely the original pronunciation of the name, while Jehovah is a hybrid form resulting from combining the consonants of YHWH with the vowels of Adonai. Yahveh is a modern form of the ancient Hebrew pronunciation.
The name YHWH is important because it shows us that God is always the same and will never change. It also helps us to remember how special, powerful and important God is. Knowing God’s name helps us to understand God better, so we can have a better relationship with Him and pray more deeply.
The name of Jesus is derived from the Tetragrammaton, YHWH. In the New Testament, Jesus is referred to as Yeshua, which is the Hebrew word for “salvation”. By adding the Greek letters “IHS”, which is an abbreviation for “Iesous” (the Greek form of the Hebrew Yeshua), we get the name “Jesus”. So, while YHWH is the name God revealed to Moses, Jesus is the name by which He is known to us today.
